A nasal airway kit is a thin, clear, flexible tube that is inserted into a patients nostril. It is used to bypass upper airway obstruction at the level of the nose, nasopharynx, or base of the tongue. It also prevents the tongue from falling backward on the pharyngeal wall to prevent obstruction. This kit includes (1) Size 28FR Nasal Airway (fits most adults), (1) individual lubricating jelly packet, (1) cleansing wipe and a pair of nitrile exam gloves. Latex free. The soft PVC allows airways to ease the airways into the passages while reducing discomfort and the risk of injury. The appropriate airway size can be determined by measuring from the tip of the patients nose to the tragus of the ear (i.e. soft airway = measure soft to soft).
